Beyrouth

The Take V publishing house creates groups of three people to work on their art books: a writer, a graphic designer, and a designer who creates a presentation case. My design for Beyrouth by Gabriele Basilico looks like a random pile of flat plates thrown into disarray by a tremor. The layers, made of cellular foam placed between white plastic sheets, recall a building material, which is appropriate to the subject of the book.
